Our number one focus when designing skids is safety.  The interior of the skids is classified to Class 1, Div I, Groups F & G, while all exterior classifications are Class 1, Div II.  PLUS houses all communications and controls in a NEMA 7 explosion-proof cabinet. All electrical components and motors are ATEX certified. The skid as a whole unit is not certified, however, equipment certifications are available from original equipment manufacturers (OEM) per normal US business practices as per (but not limited to) ASTM standards, NEC code, ATEX, OSHA regulations, UL Laboratory and other governing entities were regulated and required.

Our tanks are framed in a tubular carbon steel frame, promoting greater stability for the upright tank and more bearing surface area to safely carry the tank load when full.  Also available for our tanks is fall protection, featuring an OSHA approved ladder & ladder cage, grating on top the tank, and OSHA approved railing.  This allows safe access to the top of the tank for maintenance on the level transmitter.

We also highly value the safety of our customers’ employees as well as the safety of our own employees.  PLUS promotes a safety-oriented enviroment and our technicians are dedicated to safety as our number one priority.  Our technicians go through a myriad of safety training and certification such as OSHA training, Basic+ training, both non-DOT and DOT drug and alcohol testing, as well as other customer-mandated safety training.  Our technicians are diligent onsite by using proper PPE, participating in tailgate safety meetings, and filling out Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
