It may be news to some that not all equipment providers support their equipment with written documentation.  PLUS views written communication as an essential element to understanding expectations, solving problems, and tracking improvements.  That is why we lead the industry in areas such as Operations Manuals.  Our manuals are comprehensive documents and include such items as OEM Manuals, MSD sheets, and callout list, to name a few.

We also pride ourselves in the area of Technical Bulletins.  Every maintenance task, however small, has a written procedure along with pictures to walk any technician through the process.

Nothing is more important than the Service Report.  With the age of the “paperless” society, the hand written report on site and discussion of the report with the pipeline field technician still remains our standard.

Did You Know?

The current formulations of pipeline drag reducers are slurries made up of polyalphaolefins (the active polymer) and a non-solvent.   They must be formulated in these non-solvents to prevent them from dissolving while in storage.  Dissolving into the hydrocarbon stream is the first step in their functionality, followed closely by the unraveling of the long-chain polymer.

A more accurate description of these formulations would be chemical suspensions.  Over a period of time, if not mixed, all suspensions separate—even in the injection lines.  Drag Reducer suspensions are no exception.  So it is very important that you have storage systems onsite that attend to these characteristics.
